Lawyer Jeremy Holt will talk about the complex legal rules relating to selling on the web and provide some practical answers and advice in relation to the incorporation of terms and linking. He will also cover computer use and email policies for staff. (For the avoidance of doubt, he will NOT be using Powerpoint!)
This event is open to members of the BCS. Non BCS members are welcome, but will only be allowed a limited number of visits to BCS ISG events, after which you will be expected to join the BCS. Details available on the evening.
Tea & coffee will be provided.
Doors open from 6.00pm and we will start at 7.00pm. Entry to the venue will be available only until 7pm.

Jeremy Holt was the Secretary of the BCS Law Specialist Group for 11 years. He is the head of the Computer Law Group of Clark Holt, Commercial Solicitors (www.clarkholt.com). In 2003 he founded the first specialist computer museum in this country (in Swindon) www.museumofcomputing.org.uk He is the co-editor of “A Manager’s guide to IT law” published by the BCS (which his teenage daughters have told him that it is worth more on eBay unsigned than signed….)
